MISTT STUDENT THROWS 1st PITCH!

One of our MISTT recipients took the triple threat challenge and agreed to take part in a mentor program with Debbie Herrera from Senator Jeff Stone's office. Amazed with his growth and commitment to success, Debbie invited him along with two friends to the Storm Stadium for a baseball game where they received souvenirs, dinner at the game, and as huge surprise! Thanks to Mr. Raj Narayanan (Storm Stadium Manager) hel got to throw out the first pitch! The experience was amazing for our students who also received 2 signed baseballs with signatures including professional MLB players from the Padres and Marlins!!

RUNNING CLUB READY FOR 1/2 MARATHON!
The kids are so grateful to Nancy Comer of the  Running Center-Temecula  who GENEROUSLY supplied us with great running shoes for our whole team as we ran a 5k last week and are preparing for a half marathon! We loved learning about Gu and nutrition for runners! What generosity we so appreciate you!! Fine Art Department Items for Sale
  Each student made a repeat pattern using the  A pple pencil  and adobe illustrator. From there they worked on sizing their work appropriately for a variety of products available for purchase – and each student gets to keep their profits!!! From T-shirts to Tote Bags, iPhone Cases, Clocks, travel mugs, beach towels and more!  Check it out here !


The Fine Art Department at Oak Grove has been creating some pretty amazing works of art! Now – You can OWN some of these great pieces! The kids in art group have been learning about textile design, repeat patterns, vector drawing and marketing. 
MENTORING MAKES A DIFFERENCE

We have been so blessed by the talents and efforts of the  Valley Young Professionals  over the years when they come by to do a room makeover! Our kids absolutely LOVE their rooms, and it is such a comfort to them through their stay with Oak Grove.
