September Club Highlights

Check out this month's happenings:

Health & Wellness

As we start this new school year we want to start off in the

right direction with our members learning about being healthy and introducing them to healthier snack options to

eat.

Education

At Reseda Elementary a new program has been introduced called “Story Book Stars.” It builds peer connections by reading with members. We wanted to have our older members read to our younger members and engage with them in reading a hispanic heritage month story.

Leadership & Service

At Blythe Elementary, we implemented a student council to teach our youth leadership and service at the Club. Our elected members have an opportunity to vote on Fun Friday activities, lead our club chants, and assist coaches in classrooms. Members submitted an application and prepared a speech to share with their POD on qualities that make them a great candidate for the club.

Sports & Recreation

Member's are pictured here during Triple Play. During this session, Coach Kaylee was instructing members on the elements of soccer!

The Arts

Members got creative by exploring shape drawings, shading, and coloring!

Dollars Raised in August

As donors and members, we want to thank you for supporting the Boys and Girls Club of the West Valley.

Your collective gifts generated the following breakdown to the organization.
