Despite the Weather - 2025 SERMA Conference Shines
Each year, the SERMA Conference unites safety professionals from across Maryland’s state agencies, creating a powerful forum for sharing ideas, celebrating success, and driving forward workplace safety excellence—and this year was no exception.
On a rainy Thursday, May 22nd, nearly 300 enthusiastic attendees gathered at Boumi Shriners in Rosedale, MD, despite the weather, and eager to connect. The 35th annual conference kicked off with a warm welcome from IWIF President Lyndsey Beidle Meninger, Esq., who also serves as Vice President of Legal Services at Chesapeake Employers’ Insurance Company. Her insightful opening remarks set the tone for a day full of collaboration and inspiration.
The energy continued into a series of engaging breakout sessions, where attendees rolled up their sleeves and dug into today’s most pressing workplace safety and risk management challenges. From innovative strategies to practical takeaways, the sessions offered something for everyone. Click on the links below to explore information shared in the breakout sessions.
