I'm excited to invite you to a new outreach-focused small group launching Tuesday, April 14! We’ll gather on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 10:30 a.m. in Room 136. This group is all about growing in God’s heart for people—together. Through Bible study, meaningful fellowship, prayer, and opportunities to serve, we’ll encourage one another to live out our faith in practical ways. I'd love for you to be part of it! Let me know if you can make it. —Brooke Wolde, Missions Coordinator

April 2026: The Church Has Left the Building

Friday Mornings:

Our Food Pantry is need of more food haulers to pick up donated food from Publix early on Friday mornings. We have a rotation (so you don't have to commit every week) and we can work around your availability. Interested? Contact Brooke Wolde

Sunday, April 12: Church of the Reconciler Sack Lunches

Right after worship in the church kitchen this Sunday, April 12, a team is packing sack lunches for friends who visit Church of the Reconciler. This is an ongoing effort happening the second Sunday of every month and you can donate items and/or help pack the meals. (Ham/cheese will be used April 12 and June 14). Donations can be brought to the Donation Corner outside Room 140. Label and place refrigerated items in the church kitchen walk-in fridge.

Saturday, April 18: Asbury Serves

We're coming together to serve across Birmingham next Saturday, April 18 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. We’re partnering with ELI Thrive, Urban Ministry, Grace Klein Community, Shepherds Fold, and LifeSouth. Be part of the impact—don’t miss this easy opportunity to serve our community and learn more about what these amazing partners do! Specific tasks are listed in this sign-up form. If you're donating blood with LifeSouth from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., you can make an appointment or walk in.

May Mission of the Month: Bundles of Hope

Join us this May as we collect diapers for Bundles of Hope. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide essential care for children across Alabama. The greatest needs are sizes 4, 5, 6, and pull-ups, as most babies spend the majority of their time in these sizes. While the smaller sizes are sweet (and less expensive), the larger sizes are needed most.

You can make your donation go 67% further by giving online, allowing Bundles of Hope to purchase diapers at a wholesale discount. Just select "Mission of the Month" in the drop-down.

Interested in serving at Bundles of Hope? The organization has a 24-hour wrapathon scheduled on May 1 & 2. Volunteer spots are limited - don't wait to register.

June Mission of the Month: Water Is Basic (VBS)

Our Vacation Bible School mission partner is Water Is Basic, an organization that equips and trains women to launch and manage well-repair businesses, restoring clean water to thousands of families. For nearly twenty years, the organization has pursued one goal: clean water for every South Sudanese community. With women leading the way, they expect to reach that goal by 2030.

Our goal at VBS and throughout the month is to raise $10,000 to build a well in South Sudan. To help, give online and select "Mission of the Month" in the drop-down.

Starting This Summer

Do you have the gift of teaching? Love meeting people from different places and cultures? Asbury is starting English classes and we invite you to help get this ministry up and running. Please email Brooke Wolde for details.
