Dear SES Families,

Welcome to the beginning of winter. I think the cold weather and snow have been both exciting for the kids, and an early challenge for us all to negotiate. We thank you for pulling out the winter clothes early so kids can be comfortable outside at recess and budgeting extra time to drive to and from school in slippery and slow conditions. In the event we have weather that forces school closures, know there will be closure alerts on the District website you can check and auto emails and texts sent out of our Infinite Campus system. To ensure you receive these alerts and other school information, please make sure you let Betty know of any changes to your contact information, so she can make the changes in our system.

With the approaching holiday season coming up, we like to pause to do some reflection about life and things for which we are thankful. What it boils down to for us is relationships. After having had a great time at school this week with with so many of you, the kids, and the staff during conferences and class parties on Halloween, we are both so grateful to have such abundant opportunities here at Sopris to build great memories and relationships with so many amazing families. It is truly a gift and I thank you all for your willingness to take time to be part of our life at Sopris and allowing us to be part of yours. Please note the calendar of events in this newsletter as there are many more great opportunities for us to come together and help build our "One Sopris Family"
