Dear Beloved,
 HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO OUR GREAT COUNTRY,....NIGERIA. Welcome to our September Newsletter. We are so excited that we can celebrate together the amazing things The Lord is doing in this great Nation. This is not to say that times are not extremely challenging especially for some, but we must always try to be grateful for the Lord loves our praise and worship. We can be grateful for the peace in most parts of the nation and for the favourable oil price we are enjoying. Oil is the main stay of our economy so that must be good. Also we have relative freedom to worship and our children are in schools.
It is so important that we keep our eyes on what the Lord is doing, and praise Him for all the goodness we receive from Him. Our focus must never be on what the enemy is doing as it only makes one lose one's peace and spend lots of time complaining and grumbling. Rather, be intentional about searching for what God is doing in the nation and celebrate and praise Him for that. There is absolutely nothing that is going on in any nation of the world that is too challenging for God. He just needs us to engage with His heart and be part of the solution He desires.
Wow.....this already sounds like "In His Presence....."
We have our usual features, so do enjoy them. We are advertising two conferences, the Alpha conference in Nigeria, and the Voice of Apostle (VOA) in the USA. These are great conferences and come highly recommended.If you are going for VOA, do drop us a line. Which ever you choose, have fun.

SET YOUR LOVE UPON HIM . . .
|
"There is absolutely nothing that is going on in any nation of the world that is too challenging for God."
I wonder how many really believe this statement above is true? I wonder if some feel that God may be tired of the world He created, or He might be looking for a way out...possibly because it looks like there is too much evil in it! I wonder if many believe that they can offer solutions or be part of the transformation of their city.
Our minds filter a lot of information. Sometimes, we think one thing but decide not to say that and say something else. But because the original thought stays in our mind it has an impact on our thought life and often times, negatively affects our behaviour. This is why the Lord asks us to take our thoughts captive, under the Lordship of Jesus (2 Corinthians 10:5). Bill Johnson puts it this way. "It is not alright to keep thoughts in your head that are not in God's Head." Our general responses are either largely fear-based or love-based. We need to want to do away with our fear-based thoughts.
We are in a time in our nation when we have to learn to pray. Romans 13:1-6 urges us to be loyal to our leaders. You may be asking "what is prayer?" or, "are our prayers impactful?". Over the years, people have made prayer seem so complex, but it is basically a two-way conversation with the living God. Our opportunity to speak with the God of the Heavens, the Earth, the Universe and everything in it. For me, the greatest part of this is not just that I have the privilege of speaking to Papa God as I like to call Him, but that He wants to speak with little me! He is interested in every detail of my life, my thoughts and my reasoning. Whatever way in which we pray, our prayers have to go through Jesus Christ (John 14:6;13; John 16:23) and they have to be sincere. This is because Papa is also interested in our hearts as we pray and wants us to be real with Him and everyone else. To do this, I have to get to know Him, and truly love Him in response to His Love for me.
Truly loving the Lord, or 'setting your love upon the Lord', is when we know and understand His Name. A name gives one their identity, and in the same way that God knows you and calls you by your name exclusively, Papa wants us to know His Name. He wants us to know His nature and characteristics and understand His ways. He desires we understand His mercy, love, and kindness. He desires that we know Him so well that we trust implicitly and are totally dependent and reliant on Him. If you think about it, our knowledge of Him should go beyond our knowledge of anything else. In other words, what we know and have experienced of Him, determines, how rock solid our love for Him is.
Papa God needed people like Moses, Daniel, Esther, Joseph, John, Peter and Paul, to mention a few, who truly set their love upon Him. They walked so closely with Him, and understood His Name. Papa was able to use them to effect cities and transform nations. Their prayers were answered and they were effective in expanding the Kingdom of God on Earth.
As we spend time worshipping Papa, reading and meditating on His Word, and setting all of our love upon Him. I pray that we will each find we delight greatly in His commands, and He will use us to transform challenging situations. There will thus be an impact on our spiritual offspring who will become mighty upon the earth (Psalm 112:1-3).

Thanksgiving & Prayer Requests
|
As we celebrate the Anniversary of our Independence day on the 1st of October, we would like you to join us across the nation as we go in prayer before our Lord.
We would like to begin with....
Thanksgiving;
1. For Gods abundant love, grace, mercy and favour on us as a nation.
2. For our leadership, economy, agriculture, peace, safety and ability to prosper as one nation.
Prayer of Repentance;
1. For not diligently praying Gods will concerning our leaders ( 1Timothy 2v 1-3)
2. For sins of past and present governments asking for mercy and forgiveness.
Prayer Request;
1. For unity and love across the entire Body of Christ and for the CAN leadership to speak with one voice.
2. For free and fair elections at all levels of Government.
3. For God to establish people with godly wisdom and capabilities to stir the affairs of political parties.
4. For the governments at all levels to be legitimate, participating, responsible, accountable, fair and transparent.
5. For healing and restoration of the persecuted church in the North, and for Southern brothers and sisters to reach out in love and provision.
6. For Apostolic Fathers and Mothers who will shepherd and nurture the young Believers into their Call and destiny.
7. For raising up Intercessors in each State who will give the Lord no rest until the Spiritual atmosphere is exactly as He wants it.
8. For the release of Dear Leah.

As we celebrate the anniversary of our Nation's independence, we would like to ask Intercessors who have attended our kingdom conferences and would like to meet in your states to pray for the Nation and for Lapis, to please do so.
|
1. Praise the Lord!
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
Who delights greatly in His commandments.
2. His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
3. Wealth and riches will be in his house,
And his righteousness endures forever.
