SFA Introduces New Prekindergarten Transparency Dashboard
SFA’s new dashboard provides details on every public prekindergarten classroom SFA has constructed — and plans to construct — across the state, all in one convenient place.
New Dashboard Takes Transparency to New Levels
Want to know which public prekindergarten classrooms SFA has completed — or plans to construct — in your district? Curious how budgeted costs compare with actual spending, or whether a project has been approved? You can now find all those details in one place through a new dashboard developed by the Hawai‘i School Facilities Authority (SFA).
SFA continually explores new ways to transform how Hawai‘i builds public prekindergarten classrooms, helping meet the needs of keiki and communities across the islands in a more timely and cost-effective way. Its latest innovation is a visual transparency dashboard that allows SFA and the public to easily track the progress of public prekindergarten classroom projects statewide.
Users can easily search for information on each public prekindergarten classroom
by district on each island.
“This new Prekindergarten Transparency Dashboard is our latest effort to enhance public reporting and accessibility,” said Riki Fujitani, executive director of the Hawai‘i School Facilities Authority. “When anyone has questions about the construction status of a public prekindergarten classroom, we can pull up the information on the digital dashboard in seconds.”
The dashboard includes a list of public prekindergarten classroom locations within each legislative district. Users can search for public prekindergarten sites by state House and Senate district.
SFA's Prekindergarten Classroom Renovations: From Vision to Reality
See the impact of our work firsthand through this short before-and-after renovation video highlighting transformed prekindergarten classrooms at Hāna High and Elementary School and Lāna‘i High and Elementary School.
These transformed spaces were redesigned into vibrant, welcoming early learning environments for Hawai‘i’s youngest learners. This before-and-after video highlights the renovations made possible through SFA’s continued investment in public prekindergarten classrooms statewide.
