New Executive Director
Finally, we would like to introduce Steve Zavattero, who has taken over the role of SFADA's Executive Director. Steve was the former Co-Owner/Director of the San Francisco contemporary art gallery Marx & Zavattero, which he operated with Heather Marx from 2001-2013. After serving on the Advisory Board of ArtPadSF at the Phoenix Hotel, Steve then went on to co-found & co-produce Startup Art Fair, a dynamic and well-regarded independent artist fair that took place at the Hotel Del Sol in Cow Hollow, as well as in Los Angeles and Chicago.
"I am delighted to professionally rejoin the thriving Bay Area art ecosystem, and I am very grateful to take on this vital responsibility," says Zavattero. "I look forward to activating dynamic experiences for our Membership and fostering more awareness of the vibrant range of our member galleries to a wider group of potential collectors, curators, supporters and art enthusiasts." Welcome, Steve!
