We must bid...

...a fond farewell to our SFADA Board President, Jenny Baie, as she is stepping down after serving as our fantastic leader for the past four years. We sincerely thank Jenny for her vision, commitment, and hard work for SFADA during her tenure, which included time served as a board member prior to her serving as President. Nominations for a new board President are underway and we will have an announcement after our Fall Membership meeting.

"Dear members, it has been a pleasure to serve first as a board member and then as board President of this organization for the past five years. I’m proud of how we pivoted, during the Covid19 shutdown, to continue to provide museum tours, director meet and greets, insights into professional practices and more, albeit on Zoom. Getting back to in person meetings has been wonderful and I’m glad for the opportunity to meet so many of you and forge lasting relationships within the gallery community. That is what I love most about this organization, when the members take advantage of the opportunities offered by SFADA, wonderful connections are made. Thank you to our fantastic Executive Director, Steve Zavattero, and to all the amazing board members for giving their time and energy. I look forward to seeing everyone at future events."

In Memoriam

With heavy hearts we pass on the sad news that our friend and colleague Tom O'Connor has passed away following a battle with cancer. As Principal of O'Connor & Associates Art Advisors, Tom was a long-time supporter and champion of the SF Bay Area art scene. He was a frequent patron and visitor to many of our SFADA Member galleries for over 30 years. His unique, hearty laugh and effusive positivity will be very much missed.

Rest in peace, Tom.
