Happy January!

Happy New Year to you and your family! May 2025 bring good health, happiness and peace.

Did you make any resolutions for this year? Perhaps, the resolutions include spending less, exercising more, getting more sleep, reading more, making better food choices, letting things of little consequence not bother you and/or spending more quality time with your loved ones.

My suggestion to you is to write your goals for 2025 down on a piece of paper. Refer to them throughout the year and challenge yourself to stay the course. I expect the gym to be busy the next three weeks but then taper off. Old habits are difficult to shed but I am confident that you can achieve your goals. Consider recruiting someone to help you and to hold you accountable.

You may not always complete your goals and that's ok. If you made poor food choices today, start anew tomorrow. If you didn't exercise this week, start again in the morning. If you missed your chiropractic adjustments due to your busy holiday schedule, now is a great time to get back on track.

Whether you have been feeling great or not, Chiropractic adjustments remove the interference to your nerve system which controls EVERY aspect of your life. A friend compared being subluxated to driving with the emergency brake engaged on your car. You may not be aware of it at first but once removed you notice a drastic improvement in your car's performance.

Thank you for being a part of our Chiropractic family. Thank you for your cards. baked goods, gifts and well wishes. We truly love seeing you and being a part of your life's journey.

See you on your next visit.

Just A Few Reasons For Regular

Chiropractic Care…

Improved Brain Function

When people of all ages are asked whether they would rather suffer from a back problem or a brain problem, every single individual responds that they would choose to suffer from a back issue. However, research shows that a back problem (vertebral subluxation) is a brain problem. Chiropractic care improvers the brain and the function of the entire body through specific adjustments to the spine. A wealth of science and research now exists explaining exactly how chiropractic adjustments authentically achieve significant benefits for people experiencing non-spine related conditions. The spine directly impacts brain function.

More Balanced Body Chemistry

Every level of human performance is regulated by body chemistry. Everything you do and everything that you are is a result of your body producing chemicals. Any alteration in body chemistry results in a lessening of performance of all your bodily functions. The organs, glands, and cells of the body must be working properly to produce just the right chemicals in just the right amounts at just the right time. A properly functioning nerve system is critical in the coordination of that function.

More Energy

Vital energy that runs your body comes from the brain, travels over the spinal cord and nerves and gives vitality and vigor to your body. If that energy is not flowing properly, your body will not work at its optimum potential. Chiropractic care helps keep the energy flowing like it should.

Clearer Thinking, Concentration and Memory

Ever have a day when your mind was extra sharp? Ever have just the opposite type of day? Your ability to think, concentrate, and remember is due to how efficient your brain and nerve system work. Mental efficiency improves after a chiropractic adjustment. People with more efficient nerve systems are, well, smarter.

Improved Physical Performance

With an improved nerve supply, all your physical performance levels will be elevated. This is why every top athlete in every sport sees a chiropractor. You may not be training for the Olympics, but it just makes sense to do everything possible to naturally improve your performance.

A Better Ability to Adapt to Stress

Stress is a part of everyone’s life. How well your body is working will determine to some degree how much stress your body can handle. A properly functioning nerve system allows you to better adapt to life’s circumstances and to higher levels of stress.

Improved Sleep

All sleep is not the same. Just because you get ten hours does not mean you are getting the kind of rest you need. How well your nerve system is working will determine how much of your sleep is real sleep, which helps the body recover and heal, and not just "down time."

Greater Value From Your Exercise

When we are subluxated, it results in altered biomechanics and keeps the muscles and organs of our body from receiving a full complement of vital life energy. The altered biomechanics can lead to injury or not getting the most out of your exercise. Chiropractic improves biomechanics, allowing muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments the opportunity to function at their best.

Better Digestion And Ability to Get More Out of Your Nutrition

The expression “you are what you eat” is incomplete. The true statement is “you are what your body can make and do with what you eat”. Vertebral subluxations can adversely affect the organs of digestion. The good food and nutrition you are putting into your body may not be digested, absorbed, or eliminated properly. This can result in nutritional deficiencies, the inability to handle certain food, cravings, toxicity, and other problems. Regular adjustments can allow you to get the most out your nutritional choices by allowing you to better absorb the nutrients you need while eliminating waste properly.

Improved Immune System Function

A proper functioning nerve system allows the immune system to function at its best. There is a large amount of research showing how chiropractic care helps immune system function. Whether it is fewer colds or help with more serious illnesses, chiropractic can be a big help.

Improved Relationships

Why is it that some people seem to be able to get along with people that you cannot stand? Perhaps it is you. Emotions are controlled by your nerve system. If you were functioning at a higher level and if your body chemistry was better balanced, perhaps you could handle them better and not be bothered by whatever it is about them that affects your relationship. Even better, get them to a chiropractor and you might become best friends!

Increased Income Earning Capacity

If you had more energy, clearer thinking, a better ability to handle stress, were more efficient and physically, mentally, and emotionally functioning at a higher level, you could work more, work harder, get a better job or a promotion, or even start a business of your own.

A Longer Life

All things being equal, you will live longer if you take care of yourself, barring any unforeseen accident, of course. Taking care of yourself, in no small measure, means keeping your nerve system working as best as possible.

Enjoy Life More

Everyone wants to have a happier and more fulfilled life. If you see improvement in the areas above, your life will be more enjoyable. Even some of the things you do not enjoy now could become more pleasurable and rewarding. Being under regular chiropractic care just makes sense!

SMART goals

As we begin a new year, many of us choose to set goals for improving some aspect of our lives.

But, if you ask most people what is their one major objective in life, they would probably give you a vague answer, such as, "I want to be successful, be happy, make a good living," and that is it. They are all wishes and none of them are clear goals.

Goals must be SMART:

1. S - specific. For example, "I want to lose weight." This is wishful thinking. It becomes a goal when I pin myself down to "I will lose 10 pounds in 90 days."

2. M - must be measurable. If we cannot measure it, we cannot accomplish it. Measurement is a way of monitoring our progress.

3. A - must be achievable. Achievable means that it should be out of reach enough to be challenging but it should not be out of sight, otherwise it becomes disheartening.

4. R - realistic. A person who wants to lose 50 pounds in~30 days is being unrealistic.

5. T - time-bound. There should be a starting date and a finishing date.

20 tips for a postive New Year

Today's quote

“Life is often difficult. It can be harsh, stressful, and feel like a pot of boiling hot water. The environments we find ourselves in can change, weaken, or harden us, and test who we truly are. We can be like the carrot that weakens in the pot or like the egg that hardens. Or, we can be like the coffee bean and discover the power inside us to transform our environment.”

-Jon Gordon, “The Coffee Bean”
