SFEPD Selected to Attend Congressional Resource Fair

We were honored to participate in the 3rd Annual Financial Education Resource Fair hosted by the Financial Literacy & Wealth Creation Caucus and to have the opportunity to meet with caucus co-chairs Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (D-OH), pictured below with Theodore Daniels and Una Daniels-Edwards, and Congresswoman Young Kim (R-CA).

At SFEPD, we believe financial literacy is a pathway to economic mobility and opportunity. It was inspiring to join fellow organizations committed to equipping individuals and families with the knowledge and resources they need to build brighter financial futures.

SFEPD Student Ambassadors Put Financial Education into Practice Through Summer Internships

This summer, SFEPD Student Ambassadors turned the financial literacy, leadership, and professional development skills they've gained through the program into meaningful career experiences across the country.

From wealth management and accounting to public service, marketing, engineering, finance, and community engagement, our Student Ambassadors made an impact in a wide range of industries. They interned with organizations including Bank of America Merrill Wealth Management, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the Oklahoma City Thunder, Self-Help Credit Union, Texas First Bank, American StructurePoint, the City of South Bend Mayor's Office, Gordon Food Service, Abacus Planning Group, and many others.

Students shared that their experiences as SFEPD Student Ambassadors helped prepare them for these opportunities by strengthening their communication, leadership, public speaking, financial literacy, and relationship-building skills. Whether presenting financial education workshops, engaging diverse audiences, or developing greater confidence as leaders, the skills they developed through SFEPD proved invaluable in professional settings.

Throughout their internships, students gained hands-on experience while discovering the importance of collaboration, client relationships, community engagement, effective communication, and lifelong learning. More importantly, they saw firsthand how financial education and professional development can open doors to extraordinary opportunities.

We are incredibly proud of our Student Ambassadors for representing their institutions, their communities, and SFEPD with excellence. Their success is a testament to the power of investing in students and equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive both personally and professionally.
