In 2023, teen employment in the U.S. reached its highest level since 2009, with 37% of 16- to 19-year-olds working or actively seeking jobs. This marks a significant shift after 40 years of decline. Young workers aged 16–24 also saw a 9.8% wage increase last year—nearly double the growth for workers overall. These trends highlight a growing need for financial education among teens entering the workforce, empowering them to make smart money decisions early. Read the full study.
