SFFMA Seeks Grant Administrator for DHS SAFER Grant
SFFMA is seeking a grant administrator for a Department of Homeland Security grant received for the recruitment and retention of firefighters in Texas.  The applicant should have experience with administering grants, providing timely reports, and working well with state agencies. An ideal applicant should have experience/knowledge in firefighter recruitment/retention programs. For more information click here .

Firefighter Telemental Health Treatment Opportunity
The Warriors Research Institute is now offering behavioral health treatment to Texas firefighters at no cost through a @FEMAGrants research study! If you are a firefighter who suffers from depression, anger, substance abuse or postraumatic stress, you may be eligible to participate in this study at Baylor Scott & White Research Institute. Narcan Nasal Spray Information
Texas has received a federal grant to supply police, fire, and EMS departments with Narcan nasal spray. Representatives from Adapt Pharma have been working closely with many agencies to help get this medication in the hands of first responders. The grant will cover the cost for these departments.
