SFFMA Membership Update
As many of you know, we have just begun our new dues cycle and we wanted to give you some information in regards to your 2020 renewal.
 
Individual Members (NON-DEPARTMENT AFFILIATED)
Individual members who are not associated with a department will receive an email within the next week or so stating that their 2020 membership invoice is active and ready to be paid. Members will then be able to log in to their accounts and pay their renewal online. If you currently do not have access to your online account, please email us and we will send you an account reset email. You are also welcome to contact our office at 512-454-3473 ext.104, for further assistance. 
 
Individual Members (AFFILIATED WITH A DEPARTMENT)
Individual members that are currently associated with a department will have their membership billed directly to the department. Once we receive the renewal information from the department, office staff will process and post it so you can view it on your individual account. Again, if you do not have access to your online profile, please email us.
 
We would like to thank all of you for your time and continued dedication to the association. We hope you have a great holiday season, and we look forward to working with you in the coming decade!

Certification News
Firefighter written testing is currently on hold pending the last details on splitting the Hazardous Materials portion from Firefighter I. As soon as the certification board, Austin staff, and TEEX finalize the details, the current exam sessions will be updated to include all three exams and will require any registrants to review their registrations.

Please remember that Austin staff does not automatically add exam registrations. To register for a given exam session follow these steps:

1)   Go to the calendar on the website by mousing over the word “Certification” on the white toolbar and then selecting “Current Written Exams” from the drop-down menu. Click here to read on.  
Member Benefits Brochure
We recently updated our member benefits brochure and have included a copy in each of the department invoice mailers that were sent last week. If you haven't taken a look at the current list of benefit providers, here is a copy of the PDF so you can stay up-to-date on the many perks and discounts. Click here to see a list of all member benefits posted on the website. There have been a few changes to the list, with some benefits and benefit providers added and others removed. Keep in mind that Savvik also provides SFFMA members access to a wide range of benefits that are detailed on their website .
