Executive Director's Corner
|
Greetings members,
THANK YOU for submitting your information to us regarding your spring district meetings! As of the first week of February, we had received information on 12 meetings scheduled over the next few months. It is exciting to think we just might be getting back to normal activities! We’ve posted the information in the announcements on our home page. Please look it over when you have a chance so as to (1) ensure our information is complete and accurate, and (2) make plans to attend your district meeting! If there is information in the announcements that needs to be added or revised, send an email to Heather Lundy or me as soon as possible. For those districts that have not submitted their meeting information to us, please do that as well and we’ll be happy to post it.
While I know you are busy with life in general, I strongly encourage each of you to attend your district’s meetings. It is an important part of association membership that helps you to stay “plugged in” to everything going on in your area and across the state…and there is a lot going on!
We’ll do our best to ensure someone from the state executive board and/or staff attends your meetings each fall and spring. We are committed to letting you know about the projects your state association is working on, benefits available to our members, and any other info we believe would be pertinent you. We are, of course, there to answer your questions as well. Improvements to everything we do often come about because of feedback from our membership. Please keep the feedback coming, and I hope to see you out there!

Annual membership renewal is in full swing! We thank you for your continued participation in and support of SFFMA. As you support the statewide association of fire protection personnel, we work hard to support you as well with numerous benefits, a certification program available to every member, representation at the legislature, and valuable resources through our store. With that said, please tell us if you know of a service that could be valuable to everyone. We are always on the lookout for possible benefits.
One of the most time-consuming tasks for staff in the renewal process is the printing of membership cards and certificates, and getting them - along with benefit information - mailed to departments and individuals. Please be patient and know that we are working hard to get them out to our members as quickly as possible.
If you need help with revising a renewal invoice before submitting it, or need assistance with any other issue in the renewal process, please send us an email. We monitor that mailbox daily and will respond with assistance as soon as possible.
For those who have not yet submitted their renewal for the year, please keep in mind that we are currently in the grace period for the membership year that began on January 1. It is important that we receive and process your renewal as soon as possible so that you avoid being dropped from the active member roll.
Again, thank you for your continued participation and support!
