SFIS Japan Cultural Exchange travels to Japan to visit Ainu cultural sites and groups. Also to help establish future exchanges with high schools in Japan. Will visit Narita, Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto and Tokyo. Follow trip highlights: https://www.facebook.com/SFISGO4IT/

Free Eye Exams for students during registration:

During Registration the Indian Health Service will be offering free eye exam to those students interested.

COLLEGE & SUMMER PROGRAM INFORMATION
Bernalillo High School is offering a free Capstone Project camp to help students prepare for their Capstone Project Presentation - which is like the Senior Honors Project at SFIS.

The camp is from June 11 to June 15, 2018

Students will be able to make a video project for their presentation.

BHS will provide transportation from home community and free breakfast/lunch.

Applications are now available for the Board of Trustees Scholarship and the Francis Abeyta Memorial Alumni Scholarship at http://www.sfis.k12.nm.us/news/detail/sfis-scholarships
The purpose of the Santa Fe Indian School Scholarships is to provide funding to Santa Fe Indian School graduating seniors and alumni pursuing a post-secondary course of study at either an accredited college/university or established vocational institution.

Criteria for the Board of Trustee Scholarship:
·        Applicant must be a Santa Fe Indian School 2018 Graduating Senior
·        Applicant is accepted to an accredited college/university or an established vocational institution    
·        Applicant is attending full-time (12 credit hours or above) beginning the 2018-2019 School Year
·        Applicant has a current GPA of 3.0 or above

 Criteria for the Francis Abeyta Memorial Alumni Scholarship:
·        Applicant must be a Santa Fe Indian School Alumnus
·        Applicant is attending an accredited college/university or an established vocational institution    
·        Applicant is attending full-time (12 credit hours or above)
·        Applicant has a current GPA of 3.0 or above

Deadline: S cholarship applications are due by Friday, June 15, 2018 (no exceptions). Applications postmarked after this date and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
