Univision provided coverage of SFLHCC’s 22nd Annual Viva Miami Hispanic Heritage Business Expo & Lunch Conference, highlighting this signature Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. The event welcomed distinguished guest and former President of the Dominican Republic Leonel Fernández, along with business and community leaders for a celebration of Hispanic leadership, entrepreneurship, and culture.

New Xfinity Store Opens in Doral

New Storefront Marks Xfinity’s 10th Location in Miami-Dade County, Expanding Convenience for Local Residents and Businesses

Doral, FL – (September 24, 2026) – Comcast is celebrating the grand opening of its newest Xfinity Store in Doral, marking its 10th store in Miami-Dade County. Located at 3737 Northwest 87th Avenue, Unit 107, Doral, FL 33166, the approximately 1,000-square-foot store features an interactive, modern design that gives residents the opportunity to explore the full suite of Xfinity products and services. Business leaders in the area can also visit the store to discuss their technology needs with a Comcast Business subject-matter expert.

 

Local leaders, community partners and Xfinity team members gathered September 23rd for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Doral Xfinity Store. The event featured remarks from Christi Fraga, Mayor of the City of Doral, Jackie Maybeck, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Comcast’s Florida Region, and Derek Wallace, Director of Development for Big Brothers Big Sisters Derek Wallace.

 

“Doral continues to grow as a hub for innovation, business, and opportunity, and we are always proud to welcome investments that bring new resources and services to our community,” said Mayor Christi Fraga, City of Doral. “We appreciate Comcast’s continued investment in Doral and across Miami-Dade County, and look forward to seeing this new Xfinity Store serve our residents, businesses, and families.”

 

“Opening our 10th Xfinity Store in Miami-Dade County is an exciting milestone and a reflection of our commitment to serving customers where they live and work,” said Jackie Guerry Maybeck, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Comcast’s Florida Region. “We’re proud to bring this new Doral location to the community and provide residents and local businesses with a convenient place to experience the latest in connectivity and entertainment, whether they’re exploring powerful Internet and WiFi, learning more about Xfinity Mobile or finding the services that help keep them connected.”

 

The new storefront expands Xfinity’s retail footprint in the Sunshine State, following recent store openings in Jacksonville, Fort Myers, Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Kendall, Miami Gardens, Naples, North Miami, and Tallahassee. It also strengthens Xfinity’s presence in Miami-Dade County, where nine additional Xfinity Stores are located nearby:

During the program, Comcast presented a $20,000 check to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami to support its Digital Literacy Program, which helps equip young people with essential technology skills, computer training, digital learning opportunities and workforce readiness resources. By combining mentorship with digital education, the program empowers youth to succeed academically and prepare for future career opportunities. The investment is part of Project UP, Comcast’s $1 billion commitment to advancing digital opportunity and building a future of unlimited possibilities.

 

“Mentorship can open doors for young people, and when it is paired with digital education and access to technology, the impact can be even greater,” said Derek Wallace, Vice President of Development for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami. “We are thankful for Comcast’s $20,000 contribution, which will help us provide more youth with the tools, training and digital skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.”

 

Store employees are ready to welcome customers into the new retail space, where visitors can explore the latest Xfinity Internet, Mobile, TV and smart home technologies, see products in action and receive personalized support from on-site specialists.

There is a great tradition among members of the legal field in Miami, who gather to support the mission of The Women's Fund while taking the opportunity to connect with peers and network over drinks. Hence the name, Raise the Bar. Since its inception, funds raised from Raise the Bar have supported Advocacy and Funding & Grantee Partners initiatives that work with survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.
