Date & Location: Thursday, September 3 @ 9 a.m.-10 a.m via Zoom
Description: Informative conversation about menopause and perimenopause. Anchored in our Health & Well-Being Pillar, this Impact Collaborative will explore the physical, emotional, and everyday experiences of this life stage while examining how healthcare providers, employers, policymakers, funders, and community organizations can work together to create systems that better support women through every stage of life.
Panelists: Dr. Vonda Wright (Double Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, Researcher, and Women’s Health & Longevity Expert), Dr. Jila Senemar, MD (Board-Certified OB/GYN Certified Menopause Specialist | Founder & Lead Physician at Jila MD), Dr. Michelle Pearlman, MD (Board-Certified Gastroenterologist, Obesity Medicine Specialist, Physician Nutrition Specialist, Co-Founder Prime Institute) and Dr. Janessa Dominguez (Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and Mental Health & Behavioral Health Expert)
Although menopause is a natural stage of life, many women do not receive the information, care, or support they need to navigate it. Symptoms may begin years before menopause and can affect sleep, mood, energy, concentration, and long-term health. During this conversation, we will discuss the importance of education, early recognition, culturally responsive healthcare, mental health support, workplace policies, and access to affordable and respectful care. Whether you are a healthcare provider, nonprofit leader, employer, policymaker, advocate, student, or community member, this conversation will deepen your understanding of menopause and perimenopause and highlight opportunities to help women thrive.
