hand-washing.jpg
Keeping hands clean through improved hand hygiene is one of the most important steps we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others.  Many diseases and conditions are spread by not washing hands with soap and clean, running water.  If soap and water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol to clean hands.  So wash your hands often and help your body stay healthy!

Huddle up.... football season is in full swing!

Another great week to add to our ranks here at the school.  The week was definitely highlighted by the beautiful celebration of a Month's Mind Mass for our former principal, Mr Pelletier.  The voices of our students, heard through prayer and song, were a wonderful tribute to Mr. P, and the marvelous singer that he was. Thank you, Monsignor for your heartfelt homily and the celebration of a  "good man's"  life.

Time is whizzing by as we close in on Thanksgiving,...... and then Christmas!

With a very short week ahead of us, I wish you all a very blessed Thanksgiving.  I continue to be very grateful for our school family and the blessings that Our Lord bestows on all of us.  Immediately following Thanksgiving,  Advent  begins!  Thank you in advance for your generosity as we gather gift cards for needy families this Christmas season.

Please direct your attention to the theme for your children's classroom basket for our Breakfast with St. Nicholas, as your donations will ultimately become the raffle baskets for this event.  In your child's Friday folder, you will find a reservation form for the breakfast, which has become a school tradition loved by all!  Please plan on joining us for a delicious breakfast and a family celebration of the joys of the Christmas season.
God bless and have a wonderful weekend!

A message from...

Excellence in mission,  academics and co-curricular programs have been the hallmark of a Bishop Stang education since 1959.

We aspire to be the premier Catholic high school in the area and our Strategic Plan 2015 will allow us to reach this goal.  Enhancing an already rigorous academic program, continuing to modernize facilities, and developing resources to support the school's growth is essential to a vision of excellence.  All priorities will be centered in our Catholic mission and identity, and oriented t oward student preparation for the rigors of higher education, and the opportunities and challenges of their future.
A few highlights of the plan include the following.
  • Renovate and/or expand science laboratory, athletic fields and facilities
  • Continue modernization of the technology infrastructure and enhance 21st Century Skill development for students through continued technology integration
  • Continue upgrades to the classroom learning environment and expand learning opportunities outside of the classroom
  • Increase access to academic support for all students at all levels, including special programming to help new students adjust to Bishop Stang's rigorous academic program
  • Continue expansion of the Advanced Placement program
  • Create leadership scholarship opportunities for students
  • Strengthen financial aid and scholarship opportunities

We will be looking for a music substitute to take over classes while Mr. Borges takes a winter hiatus.  If you, or someone you know may be interested in having some fun this winter while teaching our music classes, please contact Mrs. Russo.
Thank you!

Thank you, Mr. Gobern, for giving your time and energy to our students and for fostering good sportsmanship skills on the soccer field!  Recess has been so enjoyable with your help!
