October is  the month
of the Holy Rosary.
Let us commit our families
to the Blessed Mother by praying this wonderful devotion.

"Never be afraid of loving the Blessed Virgin too much. You can never love her more than Jesus did."
--Saint Maximilian Kolbe
October already!  Pumpkins, talk of Halloween and All Saints, and decorations for the December holiday (I can't even say the word)  already in the stores ...time moves so quickly!
Last Friday evening's festivities were well attended and fun for the whole family.  A great deal of thanks goes to our SEC, and specifically to the Grades 3, 4 & 5 parents who really "stepped up to the plate" and assisted with this annual event.  A special thanks to our middle school referees and head coaches who ran the games for our younger students. Many compliments were heard regarding the enthusiasm, manners and encouragement given by our awesome middle schoolers.... they are exceptional!
The first field trip of the school year took place today, as our Preschool 3 through Grade 3 students travelled down the road to All Saints for a LIVE CONCERT!  Our students danced and jammed to songs about our faith and their love of Jesus Christ!   Students especially loved a song titled,
"I Wanna Say Yes!  Just Like Mary Did", which is quite appropriate for this month that we dedicate to Our Lady.   Together as a school family we will daily turn our hearts and minds to the Blessed Mother as we pray a decade of the rosary, and the Memorare throughout the month of October.
A very long weekend is in our  very near future... make sure your calendars are marked!
Have a wonderful and most likely wet weekend.
  ~ Mrs. Russo
