According to College Board's 2015 SAT Report on College & Career Readiness, only 42% of 2015 college-bound seniors nationwide graduated academically prepared to meet with success in college.  Research shows that students meeting the SAT College & Career Readiness Benchmark score of 1550 were more likely to enroll in a four-year college, had higher first year GPAs and were more likely to complete their degrees on time than students who did not meet the benchmark.  While college readiness and success are dependent upon many factors, the report reinforces the importance of an academically rigorous high school program.
At Bishop Stang High School, our holistic approach to education ensures that all students, regardless of level placement, are given the tools they need to succeed in college and life.
are one solid indication of the college readiness we provide.

Join us at  Open House on Sunday, November 1 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm  to learn about the many other ways we help our students prepare for the next steps in life.
(families of all middle school students
are invited to attend)

Every day we are making progress to reach our GOAL_

Several of our teachers are using Khan Academy again this year to support their Math Instruction.  Khan is a great way for our students to review taught concepts at their pace and skill level.  If your child does not have a Khan account, you may want to  consider creating one for him/her!
