Nurse's Corner...
Here are some safety tips from the CDC to help your kids stay safe this Halloween. Have fun and be safe!
*Never trick- or- treat alone. Always go in a group or with a trusted adult
*Hold a flashlight while walking to help you see and others see you
*Look both ways before crossing the street and use crosswalks when possible
*Have a trusted adult examine all treats for tampering or choking hazards and eat only factory wrapped treats

Fly on the Wall...
Heard on the Playground....
A group of kindergartners were playing very nicely together on the playground, but I kept hearing them yell,
"Get to the basement! Quick, get to the basement!"
Of course, I had to ask:
"What are you guys playing?"
Kindergartner:
"We are playing family."
Me: "And why are you yelling to your family to go to the basement?"
Kindergartner:
"There is a tornado, of course!"

As you can only imagine, energy and excitement permeated the school today, as classes celebrated and prepared for Halloween festivities. We hope that the high spirits continue through the weekend as we anticipate our Annual All Saints Celebration to take place this Monday, November 2nd. I look forward to seeing the saint costumes on our students, as they march down Main Street to Mass, and then return to school for some "Trunk or Treating"! I hope that many parents/grandparents will consider joining us as we celebrate the lives of the saints we strive to emulate!
Have a wonderfully safe and fun weekend!

BOXTOP BONANZA!
SCHOOL GOAL: 10,000 Box Tops
FINAL TALLY: 6,797 Tops!!!!
This amazing effort translates to $679.70 for our school! Thank you to all of our parents who sent tops in, as well as all of my
BOXTOP CHILDREN who helped to tape the tops to the calculation sheets! Although we may not have reached our lofty goal of 10 thousand tops, a job well done must be rewarded and therefore plans are in the works for some type of school wide reward! Thank you everyone!
Keep collecting, as our next collection drive will be in mid-January!

A message from....
Many students dream of attending college as the next step in their academic career. In today's competitive market, however, gaining acceptance and affording the school can keep this dream from becoming a reality.
At Bishop Stang High School we provide an outstanding
Catholic education that combines academic excellence with Christian values in a supportive and disciplined environment. Our
students are prepared with all they need to attend the college of their choice.
The Class of 2015 at Bishop Stang has added a new spin to the value of the education we provide by accumulating nearly $23 million in college scholarships and gaining acceptance to some of the most prestigious schools in our nation.
Join us at our Open House on Sunday, November 1st, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm to learn more about how we help our students prepare for the next steps in their academic careers and life.
