Another fantastic, fast week here at school! Our students had a full academic week that included highlights of our Holy Father's visit to the United States. The canonization of now Saint Junipero Serra drew our attention for certain, as it was the first to take place on US soil. Monignor Cihak, a Papal Master of Ceremonies, actually visited our school last year and spoke to our 5th through 8th graders. Seeing him standing right next to Pope Francis on the altar was incredible!
Attendance at the two CORI sessions this week was slightly disappointing, as only 12 new parents completed the training and will be cleared to attend field trips and volunteer in our classrooms. I will conduct one more session after an abbreviated SEC meeting on Monday, October 5th. This should help to accommodate those who desire to be fully involved here at St. Francis. Please plan on joining us for the SEC meeting as well!
I am looking forward to seeing
MANY of you this evening at our first social event of the school year, Family Fun Night 4!! This event is always VERY well attended, so please practice patience, as our school family is growing and the gym will undoubtedly be crowded!
Thanks for a great week and enjoy your weekend!
