What a great way to end our Catholic Schools Week celebrations.... SNOW DAY! Our faculty and students have had a great week filled with faith, fun, and family! Thank you to our teachers and SEC reps for planning and executing the activities that were enjoyed by all. Thank you to our grandparents and Career Day visitors for taking the time to visit our school and share of yourselves with our students. Thank you to Elsa, Mr. Incredible, Officer Gobern and Uncle Sam for "calling out" the best BINGO games ever!
Please take the time to click the above link which will take you to our school photo gallery and enjoy the memories created this week at SFX! Catholic Schools Week activities that were scheduled to take place today will be rescheduled, and the Parent/Faculty vs. Student Game will take place tomorrow evening at 5:30pm at the CYO Center.
This week, we will shift gears a bit and will begin our Lenten journey by burying the Alleluia. This school tradition is one that demonstrates our prayerful and solemn anticipation of the arrival of our Risen Lord. During a short assembly on Tuesday, students will place a large ALLELUIA banner (that will be created collaboratively) in a box and "bury" it or stow it away until we celebrate the Resurrection at Easter! Our faculty and students will begin the process of thoughtfully planning our Lenten journey, anticipating a deepening of our faith and relationship with Our Lord and Savior.
Finally, one week from today we will be closing our school doors for February break! Please continue to foster good study habits with your children by reading and practicing Math facts, while enjoying a winter holiday!
