Spring is definitely in the air as we experienced weather "worthy of taking coats off at recess" this week. Several of our students have been battling with various illnesses, so it is certainly time for the warmer temperatures to eliminate these lingering germs and viruses!
Our National Junior Honor Society have been demonstrating their strong leadership roles by initiating opportunities to give alms this Lenten season. On Saturday, March 19th our students will volunteer (for a second time this Lenten season) at
Gifts to Give in New Bedford. This wonderful opportunity brings great joy to our students, as they clean, sort and give new life to gently used items that will be donated to those less fortunate. They will also encourage our faculty and students to bring non-perishable items to donate to the
St. Vincent dePaul Pantry, in honor of St. Patrick. Students are asking if they will be permitted to wear green in honor of St. Patrick, and our NJHS says,
"Yes, you CAN!"
The days, weeks and months seem to be flying by, and our school has many, many plans for the remainder of the school year, including field trips. Please be advised
that any parent/grandparent/ family member that is planning on attending one of our many fun field trips this spring MUST be CORI trained. The final training session of the 2015-2016 school year will be held on Thursday, March 17th at 6:30pm in the school library.
Have a wonderful weekend and God bless!
