The rain cannot spoil the feeling of relief that comes from completing a monumental task.... the IOWAs!!! I am so proud of all of the students (Grades 2-8) who put forth their personal best and absolutely persevered on the IOWAs! A few comments I heard in the hall include, "that was kind of easy" and "I love the IOWAs". As difficult as it might be to believe such words came out of the mouths of our students, I sensed a much greater sense of accomplishment and confidence with the spring administration of the IOWAs.
Although standardized testing is done for the year, our students are not quite done yet! Overall, the progress reports sent home this week looked quite good, however many of our students simply cannot afford to "check out" early! It takes a great deal of focus and discipline to finish the school year strong and not allow all of the end of year excitement affect academics. Let's work together to ensure that fun can be had AND school work can be completed!
The end of year excitement includes, but is not limited to:
- Field trips for MANY of our classes
- The Musical Spectacular!
- Graduations and Celebrations
- Field Day
Visit our website frequently to stay informed and prepared for the end of year fun!
God bless and have a wonderful weekend!

IOWA TESTING IS OVER!!
A "sigh of relief" can be heard from our students as they have successfully completed the standardized testing for the 2015-2016 school year. Thank you for your cooperation and support of the importance of the testing process, as we had VERY FEW absences! We are expecting to see a great deal of progress due to both the adjustment in the testing schedule, as well as the interventions and additional supports that were initiated this year. Turn around time for scoring is approximately two weeks, and student scores will be sent home in a timely fashion.
Well Done!
An additional thank you to our
School Events Committee for the
"IOWA Testing Treats" which were distributed throughout the process!!
