I am not certain where the days and weeks are going, but they are flying by at an alarming speed! Our first week of the month was highlighted by the traditional April showers that keep us indoors (and uninjured!) at recess time. While the students would much rather be outside for recess, I witnessed first hand the fun that is had playing Jenga, Connect Four, Legos, or simply reading for pleasure!
Students have been putting final touches on their class creations for our annual gala, OPEN DOORS. Each student carefully and creatively contributes to their class auction item, by putting their "mark", which may consist of a fingerprint, a name, or a simple brush stroke! Photos and teasers coming soon, with the intent of enticing you to consider attending the event. Reservations are being taken now through April 21st, and the School Events Committee is very optimistic that we will have another great turnout and an amazing evening.
We are expecting a powerful and prayerful Holy Week for our school family, which includes Stations of the Cross on Holy Thursday at 1pm. We are hoping that the weather will allow us to journey down Main Street to experience stations in our church. Please join us if you are able, as we join Our Lord on His journey to Calvary through prayer, meditation and song. Thank you, Monsignor, Mrs. Shaughnessy and our student readers for facilitating our pilgrimage
of the specific events from Christ's last day.
Have a nice weekend and
God bless!
~Mrs. Russo
