Two anonymous second grade students on the playground during extended.... one turns casually to the other and says:

This week's adventures...
While the weather outside has been quite enjoyable, it certainly does not feel like December! Our students have been enjoying the warm days and the opportunity for outdoor play.  This climate is sure to change at some point, so please make certain that your child(ren) are appropriately dressed (coats, hats, and mittens), so that they are able to continue to play outside and walk to Mass when the weather is above 32 degrees.

The week went by quickly, and was concluded with a finale that consisted of a school-wide celebration..... Happy Feast Day Eve!  Tomorrow is the Feast of St. Francis Xaver, and since we will not be in school, we honored our patron saint today!   Students were treated to an ice cream surprise, thanks to our friends at Acushnet Creamery and an awesome assembly, thanks to Miss Westbrook and our 6th graders.  The assembly was a perfect balance of educating our students on the life of St. Francis AND of having some serious fun by engaging in a mannequin challenge!

If you have not done so already, please take the time to read the important email that was sent this week, outlining all of the school's happenings during this Advent season.

Hope to see many students and their families at tomorrow morning's 9am Mass!

    Have a wonderful weekend and
God bless.

Mr. Guilloutte had moved each one of these heavy manger members to our school foyer this past week.  While they all waited to be arranged so beautifully by Mrs. Shaughnessy, this is how they appeared in the school foyer.
The photo lens captured precisely what I viewed and immediately dubbed,
"Naughty Nativity".

Is it just me, or does this appear to be a time-out?
