Happy Friday! It was a rather quiet week here at school, with no major activities, assemblies or announcements (except for today's snow day cancellation!). We are currently experiencing the joy and success associated with the giving of alms this Lent, as our NJHS collects warm, wool socks for the homeless. Our goal of 400 pairs of socks has very nearly been reached, warranting a 'Crazy Sock Day" to take place next Wednesday the 15th.
Thank you to our NJHS for initiating, advertising and creatively announcing on a daily basis the progress made in the collection.
Please stay well informed this time of year to the minutes, emails and needs of our School Events Committee and ultimately our school! Our largest fundraiser of the year is set to take place on Friday, April 28th and a little bit of help is needed from
a lot
of people!
Please plan on contributing to our efforts in some way:
- If you are not able to donate an item to the Gala Family Challenge, would you be willing to ask friends and family for a donation?
- If you feel funny about asking for donations, are you planning on purchasing tickets to the event?
- If you are unable to purchase tickets and attend the event, are you able to help make decorations, mat pictures, or help with organizing items?
It would be fantastic if everyone could get involved! Many hands make light work, and a successful auction means more doors of opportunity can be opened for our school family!
Please consider being a part of the excitement!
From the looks of the weather today, it is hard to imagine that our students spent plenty of out door time this week enjoying the spring-like temperatures!
As I was gently reminded yesterday, "This is New England!" My question is, "Is this what is meant by March madness??"
Have a wonderful, unexpected long weekend.
God bless!
