Our building was filled with the "energy of the Irish" today as our students had fun sporting their festive green garb! Small classroom parties and visits from the leprechaun (at least on the first floor!) certainly added to the students' excitement! Throughout all of the fun and festivities our students also learned more about St. Patrick and his spreading of the gospel across Ireland.
The week got off to a slushy start, adding yet another day to our expanding school calendar. With four snow days behind us, our expected last day of school is June 14th. It is tradition that our Bishop "gives" us a day that we are not expected to make up, which would allow our summer to begin on the 13th (assuming the tradition holds true). In any event, I think we can all agree that we have had quite enough snow days and are looking forward to the warmer weather and springtime!
A few "proud principal" moments from the week include:
-
Our
school family clearly surpassing the goal set
by our NJHS to donate 400 pairs of socks... we collected over 530 pairs! Thank you to our NJHS officers for orchestrating the drive, and to our families for once again demonstrating your extreme generosity to those less fortunate through acts of love and almsgiving.

The
brave and bold middle school students
who made our Pi Day celebration very special and entertaining. The three Albert Einstein alikes were outstanding and the students who memorized the digits of pi were absolutely UNBELIEVABLE! Nice job everyone, and special thanks to Connor Araujo and Ellen Hamel who both had the necessary skill set that resulted in award winning performances.
- Congratulations are in order for 8th Grader Ellen Hamel who will be honored next Thursday with the Diocese of Fall River John Cardinal O'Connor Pro-Life Youth Award for being a young person who has taken the Pro-Life message to heart and is living it out.
-
Electronic
report card distribution
took place on Wednesday (except for kindergarten). After looking at each and every one of the students' report cards, it is evident that we have much to be proud of! The academic performance of the majority of our student body is extremely impressive. Congratulations to those students who made the Honor Roll and are receiving a certificate today. If you have questions or concerns pertaining to your child's performance in a particular subject, or questions about how you can support our efforts at home, please call or email your child's teacher as soon as possible.

Our
middle school science fair winners
going to the Regional Science Fair at BCC and PLACING! Nathaniel Frois, Abby Irvine, Matthew Murray, Morgan Laughlin, and Connor Araujo.
- CYO playoff games are well underway, resulting in several wins for SFX!!
Keep up the great work, everyone, and have an awesome weekend!
