Our teachers and staff enjoyed a variety of surprises and treats this past week to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week! From door decor to a continental breakfast, and from an awesome lunch (thank you Jeffrey's Pizza!) to classroom visits by parents presenting treats, an amazing week was had by all. Thank you once again to Keri Borba for orchestrating the week's activities and to all of our SEC reps and parent volunteers who assisted in making the week extra special for our amazing teachers and staff... greatly appreciated!
Our students are feeling pleased and relieved, as IOWA testing concluded this week! This is not an indicator that the year is over quite yet, however! We have a ways to go! Progress reports were distributed and should have arrived home for your signature on Wednesday. As a whole, the reports were quite impressive. Please encourage your child(ren) to remain focussed and have a strong finish to the school year. Signed progress reports are due back to classroom teachers as soon as possible.
Thank you for your support of our 8th graders final fundraiser of their SFX career! The Scholastic Book Fair was a tremendous success, putting new reading materials into the hands of many, many of our students. The Class of 2017 will now shift gears into final preparations and plans for the end of their school year. Please keep this class in your prayers as they journey through memory making milestones leading up to their graduation on June 5th.
A busy week is on the horizon, and will be kicked off by our May Crowning, followed by the Middle School History Fair, National Junior Honor Society Induction, and field trips for grades 4-8. Buckle up for a fast finish to the 2006-2017 school year!
God bless, have a wonderful weekend, and a very happy Mother's Day to all of our moms!
