Our week began with a celebration of the "young at heart", as the grandparents of our students in kindergarten through second grade gathered with their grandchildren for some good old fashioned fun! The morning was highlighted by a memory maker photo opportunity, a few great games of BINGO, the introduction of our school theme and the grand finale of dancing the twist! A great big thank you to Shannon Kearney, and all of the School Events Committee members who orchestrated a beautiful and memorable event! Thanks also to our grandparents who expressed interest in volunteering at the school.... we would love to have you!
The grandparents festivities that took place on Monday truly set the stage for a wonderful week. All of our students are settling in to the expectations set forth by their teachers and are proudly performing to the best of their abilities!
Extended care activities are beginning to expand and improve with the addition of Baystate Gymnastics, Dessert Decorating, Track Club (coming soon) and an instrumental offering from Mr. Borges (also coming soon). Please stay well informed by reading newsletters in their entirety, and by visiting our website frequently.
Please also take the time to read the information pertaining to Boxtops for Education found in this week's Friday Folder. Each one of those tiny, pink squares (that can sometimes be a nuisance to clip from purchased items) equals 10 cents for our school! Thank you to Cindy Baptiste, (parent of Cameron and Allison in Grade 8 and Sarah in Grade 3), who dedicates her time overseeing the BoxTop Bonanza and promotes the program to our school families.
Have a wonderful weekend and God bless!
~Mrs. Russo
