Weekend Closures Starting January 17

ITD is replacing critical irrigation infrastructure under Karcher Road (SH-55) starting Friday, January 17.

This work is necessary before crews widen the roadway and will require full weekend closures of the highway. Closures will occur in one section at a time.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Sections of SH-55 will see full, weekend-long closures
• Friday 10 p.m. – Monday 5 a.m.
• Nighttime closures during the week are scheduled to begin January 20.
• Information will be shared though the same website as weekend closures
• 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. the following morning

Motorists are encouraged to check 511, plan ahead and allow extra time for travel. GPS may not be accurate.

Commercial trucks and other vehicles traveling into Nampa/Caldwell are advised to use US-95 and SH-19 or SH-78 and SH-45
