Dear SHA Community,
Mazal Tov to the SHA Community on the success of the Light the Way Campaign! The campaign reflects the impact that our community can have when we work together in an orchestrated way.
Today, I want to recognize some of the conductors who orchestrated our successful campaign:
Our Development Director, Benjamina Menashe, and Development Assistant, Peta Mehlman, our lead conductors, organized the whole process and ensured that everything ran so smoothly!
Our Development Committee members, including Chair Elizabeth Sytman, Board President Karen Naggar, Janna Harel, Lea Lipman, Scott Michaelson and Naomi Newman were instrumental in setting a vision for the Campaign and working tirelessly to ensure its success.
Our Light the Way Campaign Matchers set a tone of generosity and support for all of us.
Our more than 30 SHAmbassadors led the fundraising effort and helped procure donations from more than 375 donors.
Our Board of Directors led us through their work, advice and generosity.
Our many Parent and Student volunteers for the Trivia Night and Kickoff Event and the Campaign contributed time and energy.
Our whole team of administrators and faculty were engaged in the campaign - leading teams as SHAmbassadors, procuring prizes, completing the accounting, raising awareness for the campaign, and attending our Kickoff event. A special shout out to: Josiah and Cruz for making sure the building looked spectacular, Mike for his help with making sure that payments went smoothly on Saturday night, Saul for his help to make sure the technology ran smoothly, Morah Jan for making sure that the Breezeway looked gorgeous with our student’s artwork, Sharon Mezistrano for doing whatever needed to get done, Mrs. Sara Weiss for putting together the fabulous picture slideshow, Morah Naomi for taking pictures on Saturday night, Mrs. Jamie Kahana for helping with set-up and Ms. Susan Matalon for making sure everything was just right! A special thank you to Kerri Stern, our amazing Principal, who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and successfully.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Campaign and made it such an overwhelming success!
Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Owen
