The Society for Humanistic Judaism has chosen Carl Sagan as the 2015-2016 Humanistic Jewish Role Model. Sagan was a brilliant, award-winning scientist whose unique place in history was as a translator of hard science to the language of the heart.
November 9 is Carl Sagan Day and his birthday. A November Sagan program would be ideal,
or a science-related celebration near February 12th for Darwin Day. Carl Sagan Day has its own

The Library of Secular Humanistic Judaism has videos of weekly Shabbat Services led by Rabbi Jeff Falick and the weekly Study Hour led by Natan Fuchs as well as other Birmingham Temple programs.
