Boogie Back to Texas

Wednesday, 6-7 PM

Days of the Week

It’s a calendar count-down as Boogie Back host Geoff Fletcher drops into the archives for some fine music illustrating each day of the week. The Monkees, the Small Faces and Waylon have some thoughts, some with a twist of sarcasm, about Sunday. Monday seldom is a happy day as T-Bone Walker and Delbert McClinton can attest. Shawn Colvin and Steve Earle do a righteous cover of the Stone’s Ruby Tuesday, and Lisa Loeb is Waiting for Wednesday. The sweet pipes of Johnny Mathis sing of Sweet Thursday, but the weekend is what it is all about. Eric Pasley kicks off Friday night, then for Saturday, Jason Michael Carroll, Joe Ely, Shawn Colvin, Ian Moore and Robert Earl Keen all have their own takes. Pick a day, then kick back.

Hannah and her Sister

Join the Mostly True Radio Show this Friday and hear Hannah and Her Sister. No, not the Oscar-winning movie Hannah and Her Sisters, but something better. This show stars Hannah Spranger and her sister Kate. They join co-host Chris Austin for a series of erudite topics, such as the Australian Cockroach Kingpin, the fact that bears are not poisonous, and the sad fate of England’s cheese-rolling legend. You’ll learn that the first known mullet haircut was worn by Roman Emperor Tiberius. Was the stylish coiffure solely responsible for the empire's fall? Scholars are still debating. Come join us!

Return to the Sunshine - 2026 Edition

Just in time for the summer equinox! It's that time of year again — when Atmospheric Rivers trades the rain for rays and dives headfirst into the candy-colored world of 60s Sunshine Pop. Think rooftop harmonies, strings that float like cumulus clouds, and a production sheen so bright you'll need sunglasses for your ears. The good vibes are non-negotiable!
