CYBERTECH TREK WITH BANK OF AMERICA
Interested in gaining a competitive edge in the in-demand field of cybersecurity? Thanks to our partners at Bank of America, selected participants will receive FREE training and certification coursework in cybersecurity, sponsorship to this year’s National Convention, and mentoring from cybersecurity professionals. This opportunity is open to undergraduate or graduate students. Applications are due September 18.
PASSPORT TO DOW CAREERS
Join us on Tuesday, September 20 at 7pm ET for our Passport to DOW Careers. We will be featuring two speakers from DOW, Andre Argenton, Chief Sustainability Officer and Vice President of EH&S, and Erika Vergara, Senior Business Quality Leader. They will discuss their journeys and experiences as Hispanic leaders. There will also be Q&A at the end of the event. Don't miss it!
A FAMILIA FUN NIGHT FOR HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
Every month is Hispanic Heritage Month at SHPE, but what better excuse for a Familia fun night? Join us on September 29 at 7pm ET. Everyone is invited! There will be games and PRIZES! We have Amazon gift cards and one lucky (and skilled) competitor will win a free trip to the National Convention in Charlotte.
CELEBRATE HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH WITH NOCHE DE CIENCIAS
Do you know a K-12 student with an interest in STEM? Someone who enjoys creating things with their hands? Who wants to pursue a future in STEM or is interested in learning about engineering and science? Since it's Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re offering nine, free "nights of science" for K-12 pre-college students (and some are already sold out!). So don't delay, check out the dates and times below!

WORDS MATTER: ON THE DEBATE OVER FREE SPEECH
Join us TOMORROW, September 15, at 7pm ET for our next #SHPEReads: GRADS Edition. Author and presenter John M. Herbert, will discuss his work Words Matter: On the Debate over Free Speech, Inclusivity, and Academic Excellence. Professor Herbert is a quantum chemist and faculty member at Ohio State University. All SHPE members that register, attend, and participate in the meeting will receive a $30 DOORDASH gift card!
