There are only 2-days left to apply for the 2023 ScholarSHPE cycle! With over 350 scholarships available, including many for grad students, SHPE is actively closing the gap between Hispanics and STEM. For the 2023-2024 academic year, SHPE is awarding over $1,800,000 in scholarship dollars. This year YOU could be one of those recipients.

FINANCIAL LITERACY WORKSHOP FROM REGION 6

In the spirit of national financial literacy month, join SHPE Region 6 on April 11 at 6:30pm ET for a virtual financial literacy workshop led by expert Leo Lopez. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR EQUIPANDO PADRES UNIVERSITY

SHPE's Equipando Padres University program gives the parents of first-generation and low socio-economic status students the tools, resources, and knowledge necessary to better support them while they are earning an engineering degree. We are looking for volunteers to help us with our next 4 offerings (both in-person and virtual):

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A FACULTY MEMBER?

Virginia Tech is now accepting submissions for its highly popular Future Faculty Diversity Program, scheduled to take place October 1-4, 2023. This program is an exciting and rewarding four-day experience designed to increase the representation of faculty traditionally underrepresented in strategic priority populations in the United States, including American Indian/ Alaska Native, African American/Black, Hispanic/Latinx, and Native Hawaiian/ Pacific Islander. Applications are due August 15.
