DOW'S BEST SYMPOSIUM

Dow’s BEST Symposium is a virtual event primarily intended to introduce Black, Latinx, Native American U.S. doctoral and postdoctoral scientists to the wide range of rewarding careers in industrial research, and in particular, the many opportunities with one of the world’s largest and leading chemical companies, Dow.

THE DISSERTATION INSTITUTE FOR PHD STUDENTS
July 10 - 16 | Apply by April 30
Held July 10-16 at the University of Michigan, the Dissertation Institute is a week-long boot camp for engineering doctoral students from underrepresented minorities to build writing habits, work on their dissertation or proposal, enhance their motivation for the doctoral process, and learn skills that will help them make progress in their dissertation.

PREPARING FUTURE FACULTY WORKSHOP

Auburn University is hosting a two-part series of virtual, interactive workshop sessions for STEM PhD students and postdocs. This virtual event will be held over two days and include topics such as academic job search, the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and more.

KIRCHNER FOOD FELLOWSHIP
Sept - June | Apply by May 15
The Kirchner Food Fellowship, an impact investment training program summarized as “Peace Corps meets VC,” is now accepting applications for its 8th cohort. This cohort will be awarded a stipend and given full discretion over $50,000 to invest in a social enterprise supporting food security with a geographical focus in Central America.

THE STUDENT PROGRAM AT ARPA-E ENERGY INNOVATION SUMMIT

The Student Program at the ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit is a unique opportunity for student energy leaders to engage with companies looking for new talent, as well as learn about new energy initiatives. The graduate-level students selected to participate receive complimentary registration to attend the virtual Summit.

NEXTPROF NEXUS 2021

The 2021 NextProf Nexus Future Faculty Workshop will take place in October on the University of Michigan campus. This program aims to diversify the engineering professoriate by bringing together senior-level Ph.D. students, postdocs, and early career scientists and researchers for an intensive 3-day workshop about becoming a faculty member.
