Join us for our first meeting of #SHPEreads: GRADS (GRaduate & Advanced Degree Students) Edition on Wednesday, October 27, at 7pm ET. We will be reading the paper Survival Skills for Graduate School and Beyond by Beth A. Fischer and Michael J. Zigmond. 3-MINUTE THESIS COMPETITION DEADLINE EXTENDED
This year at SHPE National Convention, the Graduate Track will hold a 3-Minute Thesis Competition at the Graduate Hospitality Suite! Eligible applicants should sign up by October 22. Each application will be reviewed by peers and sponsors, and the top three presentations will present in person at the 2021 SHPE National Convention in Orlando, to win cash prizes.

GRADUATE TRACK AT THE SHPE NATIONAL CONVENTION
In the Graduate Track at the SHPE National Convention, graduate student participants learn to develop relationships with academic and industry professionals, identify and plan for post-graduate career opportunities through workshops and access to the Advanced Degree Hospitality Suite, as well as showcase their research with our 3-Minute Thesis Competition!

GEM FELLOWSHIP APPLICATION
Have you considered applying to be a GEM Fellow? This premiere organization supports qualified students from underrepresented communities to pursue graduate degrees in applied science and engineering. THANK YOU TO THE BURROUGHS WELLCOME FUND
Thank you to the Burroughs Wellcome Fund for funding registration and travel awards for graduate students to join the 2021 SHPE National Convention. Ten students selected randomly won registration awards and four NGC leaders were awarded registration and travel chosen by SHPE staff based on their contributions to the NGC.
