As you know, the past few months have been unlike any other. For us, it started in March with the cancellation of our annual Pasta Dinner. We are, however, proceeding with caution to our next in-person event, the Packer Golf Classic. There will be changes to keep attendees and volunteers as safe as possible, including moving both registration and lunch outdoors.
Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel our two fall indoor events, the 2020 Hall of Fame Brunch and Packer Sports Greats Induction. We didn't want to diminish the honor by limiting attendance anymore than we already have to due to the room size.
While always important, our 'virtual' events have become even more so in 2020. Both Omaha Gives and our Packers 500 Club have helped keep us in touch with our ever supportive Packer Backers. More details on both those events can be found below.
We supported the class of 2020 the best we could through a fairly disappointing final semester at South. Even without a traditional senior honor night, we were still able to award thousands of dollars in scholarships to 28 deserving seniors.
By fall, our landscaping project in front of the school will be complete and a large bull sculpture will be in place. We hope to have a dedication sometime in the following months.
