Your SHS Alumni Association has been busy wrapping up the school year and jumping into summer!

A lot has happened since our first Alumni eNews! Events including our yummy Spaghetti Dinner, SHS Honor Night, Omaha Gives! charity challenge, boys' soccer taking State (they are ranked 9th nationally), SHS graduation, and the first of many 2016 class reunions (1961 & 1966).
We are saddened to let you know that one of our biggest champions, Carol van Metre passed away earlier this month. She was a true Packer angel and will be missed.

GOLF TOURNAMENT
Our annual Golf Tournament is heading to a new course this year! Come join us at Eagle Hills. There is still room for more golfers, sign your foursome up now ($75/golfer) and get 18-holes, cart, steak lunch and open keg.
COLLEGE BOUND!
We were honored to award 32 SHS seniors with $33,000 in scholarships. In all, SHS seniors were awarded with over $14 million dollars in scholarships. Congratulations!
DO YOU NEED FIREWORKS?
Through the SHS Alumni Association, SHS was granted a fireworks license (in conjunction with Marian HS). Our tent is at 186th & Center (yellow and black striped). Stop out and support South (we split a percentage of the profit with Marian).
THANKS PACKER BACKERS!
We had a great Omaha Gives! again this year with 225 Packer Backers raising $5,542 for the SHS Alumni Association! Thank you so much to those who participated, donated and shared about this awesome day!
2016 UPCOMING REUNIONS
If your graduation year ends in –6 or –1 then your class is up for a reunion this year! Upcoming ones that we know about include: 1951, 1956, 1971, 1976, 1986, 1996, 2001.
