Greetings!
I would like to start by acknowledging the good I have in my life. I am blessed to be surrounded by so many caring and loving friends, family, and Soroptimist members (who are like friends and family all rolled into one). Thank you to everyone, who joined us on Zoom last week, for our club installation of officers and business meeting. If you missed the live installation, you can watch the recording. Joyce has included the link in this week’s E-blast. It was a real honor for our club, having three of our Sierra Nevada Region Officers, join us for our SI Chico Installation. Thank you to Governor Sarah, for performing our club installation of officers, and thank you to our guest speakers, Diane and Ann! I can not thank Diane and Ann enough for the words of love, support, and gratitude they shared with me. I am so grateful to have such wonderful people in my life.
On the subject of being grateful, I was so happy to see our club win so many awards at the SNR Fall District 1 Meeting on Saturday. We received eight awards, for all the hard work our club members have put in making our club a success. Together we can accomplish great things! A special shout out to Joyce, for helping our club win 1st place, for the 5 Star Website Award. Joyce has put in countless hours over the last couple of years revamping our SI Chico Website. Her hard work and dedication paid off and our entire club is reaping the benefits. How lucky are we to have so many amazing women working together to accomplish so many great things.
Speaking of great things, all the motions from our October Business Meeting passed. That means the Girl Scouts will be the recipients of our 100 Year Legacy Project. More information will be coming on that in the near future. It warms my heart to think about all the wonderful things we are going to accomplish this year.

SI Chico Zoom Installation Oct. 7, 2020 |
What a great turnout last Wednesday for our Board of Officers Installation on Zoom. If you missed it, don't worry we recorded it. Our guests were Billie's parents and daughter, District 1 Director Kerri Cobb, Governor Elect Lisa Fitzgerald, and Governor Sarah Carrasco. President Billie, pictured on the left, is wearing a necklace given to us by our friendship club, SI St. Albans in 1980 when they came and visited us, to be handed down to each SI Chico incoming President. In President Billie's hands are gifts given by SNR Governor Sarah Carrasco. It consists of a bucket, watering can and a bag of Sweet Pea seeds. President Billie's logo is the Sweet Pea which is a symbol of gratitude and happiness.

Since we aren’t meeting for lunch these days, you’re saving $16 a week, $48 saved each month. Please consider donating some of those savings back to the club.

Tech Rescue Team
Hello SI Chico!
Are you in need of some help with technology? Is Zoom making you looney? Facebook making you frown? Does Dropbox make you feel droopy? We are here to help!! The Communications Committee has put together a team that will come to your tech-rescue, in person (masked and socially distanced of course) or virtually. We can help you feel more confident in navigating these platforms, answer questions and make it more fun in the process. If you would like to schedule a rescue appointment, email Joyce at joycebrown@sichico.com and we will match you with someone from the team.
