SIA School Newsletter

January 3, 2023

Dear Parents,

Hope you and your families all had a restful Winter Break. As we approach the midpoint of the year, we look forward to lots of additional activities while our children continue to progress academically, socially, and emotionally.

Let’s ring in 2023 by celebrating our SIA family with an all school SPIRIT WEEK starting Tuesday, January 3, 2023! The week will culminate with our SIA Day of Giving Phon-a-thon on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 11:00am-1:00pm in the SIA/Miller Library. Strelitz International Academy’s goal is to receive 100% participation from our parent community. Let’s start our Parent Campaign strong on SIA’s Day of Giving by making a gift to our Annual Donor Fund. Your participation goes a long way to supporting our school.

To make a donation to the Parent Campaign, click here.

To make a pledge, Email Carin Simon, at csimon@strelitzacademy.org.

Pledges payable by June 30th, 2023.

  • Tuesday – Crazy Sock Day
  • Wednesday-Sports Team Attire/SIA Spirit Wear
  • Thursday- Tie-Dye Day
  • Friday-Superhero Day

As we approach the winter storm season please make sure your contact information is up to date with the school office. Please make sure that we have your correct email address, home, work, and cell phone numbers. If this information changes, please email Linda Bridges at lbridges@strelitzacademy.org to ensure our records are accurate and you will receive the message. In the event of an emergency you will receive a phone call along with a text directly from Parent Square. In addition, we will post school closings on channels 3, 10 and 13. SIA administration makes every effort not to cancel school unnecessarily. However, many times it can be very difficult to predict when road conditions will improve across all of Hampton Roads.

Below you will see some reminders for next week.

Shavuah Tov, wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!
