See HERE to read the letter in Spanish language, & go HERE to read the letter in English language.

Ramon Bejar Chavez has served faithfully for many years as a leader in his congregation of Alas de Salvacion in Mesa, Arizona. He recently was also appointed to serve as the Moderator of the Arizona Hispanic Convention of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ.) You can learn more about how much Ramon's leadership has meant to his congregation and region here .

Before Christmas, Ramon was detained by immigration officers as he was driving his teenage son to school. His four children and wife are devastated, and his family of faith in the Arizona region is grieving the loss of his leadership.

Ramon is an essential leader in the work of our church....(and) his absence since his arrest has created quite a hole in our statewide and local ministry."-
-Rev. Jay Hartley, AZ Regional Minister, Disciples of Christ
