Ramon Bejar Chavez has served faithfully for many years as a leader in his congregation of Alas de Salvacion in Mesa, Arizona. He recently was also appointed to serve as the Moderator of the Arizona Hispanic Convention of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ.) Before Christmas, Ramon was detained by immigration officers as he was driving his teenage son to school. His four children and wife are devastated, and his family of faith in the Arizona region is grieving the loss of his leadership.
