TEACHING IS READY
SEPTEMBER 2020 MONTHLY LETTER

As believers we must have an expectation of signs to follow when we preach and share God’s word, the Gospel.

After the Resurrection, Jesus commanded the disciples and He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature”.  The disciples went at His commands and they experienced the signs following the preaching of the Gospel.

Mark 16:15-20 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

The Lord was working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. When the truth is preached, the Lord backs up His message and His messenger with signs and wonders.

This is for every believer, “And these signs will follow those who believe”. Have great expectation that every time you share the truth of the Gospel, signs and wonders will happen.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Paul’s preaching was not to please men or draw attention to himself, as many do today. His preaching was in demonstration of the Spirit and power. To me, these are signs and wonders.

Expect the manifestation of the Holy Spirit and of power, not to fulfill your own agenda, but for God’s Glory and His Kingdom to be established, for people to be healed, delivered and souls get saved.

1 Thessalonians 1:5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

Paul was saying, when we preach the Gospel, miracles happen, and people get saved.

Pray that when you share the Gospel, signs and wonders follow.

Luke 10:1,9,17
1 After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.

9 And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”

The seventy were successful at preaching the Gospel, a confirmation of God’s word with signs and wonders, even the demons were subject to them, in the name of Jesus.

Acts 5:12-15 And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. 13 Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. 14 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.

Signs and wonders were performed in the ministry of the early church. Today’s church must see and experience the same, for the Glory of God.

Hebrews 2:4 God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?

The Lord Himself bearing witness (confirming) the preaching of His word, the Gospel, with signs and wonders.

Where the Gospel is preached, the Lord is present to confirm it with signs and wonders. Amen
