Our family has recently moved to Hancock Street! Despite the tribulations imposed on us by the Coronavirus, our year at home had one giant shining ray of hope: Our dream house came on the market, our offer was accepted and we bought it! My husband Jeremy and I and our two daughters (Lenox, 8 and Moxie, 5) cannot believe our good fortune, living so close to Lexington's historic town center and Minuteman Bikeway. We are so grateful to have such incredibly welcoming new neighbors and are delighted to count new friends.
A little about me: My family moved to Lexington from Lowell, MA in the Fall of 1992. Our home was on Harding Road and I was instantly smitten! As a 10 year old, being a part of a safe neighborhood filled with families with kids my age where we could ride bikes and play hide and seek was an absolute JOY. Riding the LexPress to Lexington’s charming center was the icing on the cake!
My husband Jeremy also grew up in the Manor on North Hancock Street and we met one fine day walking home from Diamond Middle School.
Many years later after attending colleges in the Midwest and living in different cities throughout the country, we were lucky enough to be able to purchase a home in Lexington to give our children the amazing opportunity we had growing up.
I do not take Lexington for granted and work very hard to participate in the town to have our community reflect our values.
I graduated from Lexington’s Citizens Academy in the Fall of 2016 where I learned more about how our town's services operate.
I have been an active and outspoken board member of LexFUN! (the Lexington Pre-School Parent Teacher Association) for the past seven years and have served as its Vice President of Community Service and Scholarship Chair.
Our 8 year old is a third grader at Estabrook where I have volunteered with the Big Backyard program as well as METCO Family Friends.
I have relished the past four years serving as an elected Town Meeting member.
I am passionate about our town and actively engage with residents to represent their voices in our town's legislative body.
Since I began serving on Town Meeting in 2017, I have only become more involved with the town:
- I served on the outreach sub-committee for the Yes for Lexington Debt Exclusion campaign in our efforts to seek funding to build the new Lexington Fire Headquarters, new Lexington Children's Place and Maria Hastings Elementary School.
- I have worked on multiple campaigns for those seeking town wide offices, as well as State Representative Michelle Ciccolo's campaign.
- I joined the Board of the Lexington League of Women Voters, a national nonpartisan organization dedicated to voter registration and education.
- I was appointed by our Select Board as a voting member of the Special Permit Residential Development Zoning Bylaw Amendment Committee.
Serving on Lexington's Town Meeting has been an honor of a lifetime and with your vote, I would love to continue to serve as one of Precinct 6's representatives!
Please Re-Elect Taylor Carroll Singh on Monday, March 1st!
