VIRGINIA BEACH - As part of the Laskin Road Bridge Replacement and Widening Project, motorists should expect alternating, single-lane closures on Laskin Road at the First Colonial Road intersection, beginning as early as Sunday, Jan. 9, while crews perform utility work.
The work, expected to take approximately one week, will occur nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Single-lane closures on southbound First Colonial Road are also scheduled during this time.
Access to properties at this intersection will be maintained at all times.
This work is weather-dependent, and the schedule is subject to change.
Motorists are urged to use caution and to obey the reduced speed limit of 35 mph throughout the work zone.
