Sticking the Landing

Our Fall Grant recipients, Thomas Jefferson High School Gymnastics, capped off an incredible season at the State Championships! Rylee Cabang (Captain), Nakiya Rankin, and Londyn Williams (Captain) qualified for Nationals in Fort Myers, Florida. We supported the team with a grant for new competition leotards, and we’re proud to see them finish strong!

Rylee and Nakiya plan to compete and need to raise an additional $4500 to cover travel, competition fees, and training costs.

When student-athletes earn opportunities like this, financial barriers shouldn’t stand in the way. Your support helps ensure these athletes can take the mat on the national stage.

SIS Incubator Program •••

We're launching our Incubator Program and kicking it off with this first initiative of sports kits to underserved elementary schools.

By providing equipment and ready-to-use programming, the Incubator Program helps schools introduce students to organized sports early, building pipelines for participation and sustaining excitement for athletics as students grow!

We're looking to partner with community organizations to provide on-site sports physicals, eliminating one of the most common barriers to participation.

Who Inspires Your Community Through Sports? •••

Nominations for the 2026 Emerging Leader and Coach of the Year awards open Friday, March 20th.

Recipients will be recognized at our Gala, and $500 will be awarded to their school’s athletic program.

Eligibility details and timelines are included in the forms. Submit your nominations by April 10th.

The Emerging Leader Award honors a former student-athlete from a Washington State Title I high school who continues to give back.

Girls Leadership Summit •••

July 31–August 2 @ UW Campus!

Planning is underway for our annual Girls Leadership Summit. The summit brings together student-athletes to build confidence, leadership skills, and mentorship through sports.

Through workshops, speakers, and team-building, participants gain tools they can take back to their schools, teams, and communities. We look forward to welcoming another inspiring group this summer!

Six Seattle Torrent players competed in the 2026 Winter Olympics!

Four brought home gold medals for Team USA:

Hilary Knight (Captain), Alex Carpenter, Cayla Barnes, and Hannah Bilka.

Julia Gosling won silver for Canada; Aneta Tejralová competed for Czechia.
