While preparing to go MAD!!!!!

President Paula welcomed everyone to our meeting this week.
Invocation by Lydia: She waxed lyrical about Hanami, the Japanese celebration and viewing of Sakura- cherry blossoms. The flower's gentle fragrance envelopes, getting stronger as the tree fully flowers. A few days later, the gentle falling of the petals reminds us of the fleeting nature of life.
Take time to enjoy each and every season and appreciate the beauty of the world around us.
Sunshine: Positive thoughts and prayers for Lisa as she works through some back issues and for our dear Joy as she packs and prepares to relocate nearby.
Guests: Julie Cary joined us again today as a "guest member". We look forward to getting to know you better.
Jeanne Prestella informed the group this morning that we have been included in NASCAR's nonprofit fundraising effort. Look forward to hearing more about that soon. Jeanne also put forth a lot of effort to submit Wendy's name for the NASCAR Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award. We all know she is deserving, fingers crossed!
MEMBERS PLEASE READ: Please take a look at the auction website www.sitsfundraiser.com and verify that all the donations you have received are input correctly. If you have any donation forms that have not been turned in, please give paperwork (in person or via email) to Laurie Flesher, gift cards can go to Laurie or Lisa. If you have a physical item, please hold on to it for now. If it needs to be "basketized" please give it to Cookie.
This week we had a member focus and fun meeting that allowed us all to get to know one another a little better. Thank you everyone who donated gifts for our raffle this morning.

We are so happy to be able to support Mt Tallac students:
Last Thursday two students at Mt. Tallac school, Jhon Jacusalem and Alanna Deas were presented Superstar Student Awards. One student for the month of February, and one for March. Each student had shown great progress and achievement this year. They both were acclaimed by their teachers, as well as fellow students. It is always remarkable to see the progress at that school.

Wishing a very happy March birthday month to our SITSters!
24-Apr - JULIE NELSON
27-Apr - NANCY MULLER
Our age is merely the number of years the world has been enjoying us!
| Many of us remember Desiree, she joined SITS during Covid. Most of us only saw her on zoom. She is now working and can't make the meetings, AND she's expecting a little girl in early May. Below you will find an invitation to her baby shower given by Christina Frohlich. | |
